No matter how carefull you are with your computer, problems will eventually occur. The reasons are varied and many:
-
System files become corrupted
-
Hardware conflicts occur when two components compete for the same resourses
-
Misconfigured software & hardware
-
Overly fragmented hard drive
Problems occur when something in the system has changed such as adding a piece of hardware or installing software. Sometimes the problem takes a while to surface; perhaps the file that got corrupted isn't used for a month after the change occured. This can cause many problems to seemingly appear from nowhere.
When trying to toubleshoot a problem it is important to think back to when the problem started and what changes where made to the system just previous to that. That is where you should begin.
